We all love competition and we all love to know who is leading in any aspect of life be it the most powerful women, sexiest men alive and the list goes on. Forbes, being the great media company they are managed to “feed off” our desires and every year they have been helping us figure out who tops what and how they managed to beat the rest.
This week Forbes Africa published their 2017 list of the 10 richest African artist. Just like every other list the artists were critically chosen based on their endorsement value, show rates, sales, awards, YouTube views and investment amongst others.
Chris Bishop, Forbes Managing Editor, stated that “For long music has been part of business in Africa. With this issue not only did we want to come up with another much talked-about Forbes List, we also wanted to focus on how musicians make their money”.
